    Description

    Offered for sale is an extra tall blown glass apothecary or pantry jar with its original tin lid.  The tall jar has a slender shape & form & is an infrequently
    seen size.  The glass container measures 12" in overall height,
    5 1/4" in base diameter,
    and dates from 1860 - 1885.  The lid is domed and the underside has a well kicked-in
    base with a 2" pontil scar.  Of importance, the glass is quite clear with no stains,
    discoloration, or scratches.
    It is in excellent condition with no nicks or damage.  Any grey coloration is due to the curvature of the
    glass
    & the lighting.
