    Description

    This is an early hand blown, pontiled 3 pc apothecary Glycerinum bottle with separate ground glass pour spout insert and ground glass cover.....a unique medicinal bottle that came out of an early 1800s drugstore!....
    GLYCERINUM
    in bold wheel cut engraved letters inside square on front of bottle....Hand blown in mold...ground pontil base....big hollow square ring collar...clear flint glass...round...6 7/8"tall (8 1/2"with glass dome cover).....it has a 2 1/4"tall hollow glass pour spout tube with ground base that fits snug into the ground bottom of neck.....Also has original 2 1/4"tall domed glass cover with ground inner bottom edge which fits snug onto ground outer edge of bottle mouth.  Bottle is perfect mint condition with no chips or damage.....Glass pour spout tube is also perfect. Glass dome cup has a chip on bottom edge. It has a little ground flat spot on top so will sit upright and act as a cup. Glycerinum was a laxative
