    Description

    An early pontiled hand blown glass apothecary drug store storage jar from the 1860s with applied rings and original domed glass lid....no embossing.....hand blown with a pair of glass rings around jar...snapped off open pontil scar on bottom....smooth wide mouth rim.....8"tall (10 3/4"with lid)... 5 1/4"across rim...Jar itself is excellent with no chips or damage. Nice and clean with no haze. The lid has one large chip out of the bottom ring, along with 2 smaller shallow chips on underside of outer ring....This authentic antique jar was used in an 1800s drugstore to store various ingredients for compounding prescriptions....
