Vintage fold-out 1938 Conoco road map of Wisconsin, printed more than 82 years ago.
The map opens to 24" x 18" and has great detail on old highway alignments and route numbers, with cartography by H.M. Gousha.
On the reverse side there are inset plans of Green Bay, Kenosha, Madison, Racine, Milwaukee, Superior, Fond du Lac, and La Crosse.
The map was distributed by the Continental Oil Company in 1938 to promote its Conoco brand and is dated by the code number in the lower margin: 10-L. Population data is from the 1930 census.
Condition:
This map is in very good condition, bright and clean, with a tiny break at one fold corner and
no
rips or tears. A previous owner has written the date on the cover; there are no other marks or writing. Please see the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
