    Description

Here I have for your consideration a 1958 Ford Edsel "Round-Up" 2-Door Station Wagon, manufactured by the Nomura Toy Industries, Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan. This car is in complete, original and working condition, and is finished in a stunning 3- color combination of red, black and white paint. The windshield consists of its original blue-tinted "glass", and is powered by a rear friction motor. The tailgate opens and closes easily, with a tailgate window that also pops up to open. Of note is a very small separation in the metal frame that surrounds the rear tailgate window. It is not a break, but rather, a separation that can occur with age. A simple but careful pinch with a pair of pliers would easily correct this, but I prefer to let its new owner handle this with more expertise than I!
This Edsel measures 10 1/2" long, 4" wide and 3 1/2" tall . It is in excellent, original condition and displays beautifully. My father actually owned a real 1958 Edsel "Round-up" station wagon - black and white - and by his own account, it was the most impressive, powerful, unique and smooth running car that he has ever owned, especially when it came to the push-button automatic transmission located in the center of the steering wheel. A little more than 500 models of the actual Edsel Round-Up were ever made by Ford - - and my dad owned one of them. Far from the "lemon" stigma associated with this car, it was ahead of its time and a dream to own. And Nomura, in true form, has captured the lines and details of this revolutionary, ground-breaking car in all its glory!
So, don't miss out on this rare opportunity to own this rarely seen Edsel wagon. It is an example of Japanese tin lithography at its finest, and would make the perfect gift for that special collector on your list!
