    Description

    Antique French APOTHECARY AMBER GLASS BOTTLE JAR with gold and black applied PAPER LABEL "CARBONIS LIGNI PULVIS” with solid glass stopper. This bottle is part of a 5 piece set from Paris, France!  There are black powder remnants inside this bottle from it's original purchase.  However, I do NOT know whether those contents match the label. Check out the beautiful detail in that label!

    For it’s age, this bottle is in incredible condition! THERE'S A COUPLE SMALL CHIPS ON THE LIP OF THE BOTTLE which from the weight of the solid glass stopper is not surprising. Again, please examine all pictures before bidding.  This bottle is sold individually but is part of a 5 piece matching set that I will be listing. My husband and I are both pharmacists who have been collecting antique apothecary items for 30 years.  I encourage you to save me as a seller if you enjoy collecting medicinal history as well. I’m just starting the process of listing over 100 antique, mostly French, apothecary bottles and porcelain jars! It’s time to start sharing our collection with others, but it is time consuming to list!
