    Description

    Available for sale is an early extra large blown glass apothecary or pantry jar with its original lid.  This
    specific jar has a bulbous, squatty shape & form.  The glass container measures 9 3/4" in height, 6 3/4"
    in diameter, and dates from 1860 - 1885.  It has a domed lid made of copper instead of tin, quite unusual.
    The underside has a well "kicked-in" base and a 2 1/2" diameter pontil scar.  Of importance, the glass is
    quite clear with no stains, discoloration, or repair.  It is in excellent condition with no nicks or damage.
