Description

For sale is a 4 piece ground glass apothecary or pharmacy show globe. You can tell from the stain coloring of the third stackable that it was once filled with colored liquid. It has been dry for the last 15 years that I have owned it. It's great size at almost 25 inches tall and about 6 inches wide at the base, makes it a great attention grabber which was exactly it's purpose.
While I have seen and owned many smaller 8-12 inch globes, this is the only large one I have ever seen. Between rarity and condition, this would make an excellent addition to any collection. I am not sure that the top piece is the correct one but this is being sold in as found condition. This show globe was not hand blown but was molded.
