Antique Medical Instrument case Dr. etc.

Description

Nice medical or Dr. case for instruments.  This looks like it might be for scalpels or probes.  I have a small medical instrument collection and this came with some instruments but none fit.
Not too sure what this is for.  Looks like nice leather cover, satin inside.
If you know what this is please let me know.
