    Description

    ANTIQUE VINTAGE THORENS Swiss STANDARD SINGLE CLAW LIGHTER US Pat 1914 & 1920. Condition is "Used". Shipped with FedEx Ground or FedEx Home Delivery.
    This is one of the first single claw Thorens ever made. I have yet to come across a Thorens with the side filling screw and matching inscriptions on the bottom.
    This Thorens lighter is in good condition give its age. The mechanisms all seem to be in working order although I have not tested it. The bottom is embossed with "THORENS SWISS-MADE" along with two USA pat dates "FEB 3 1914 & NOV 16 1920." The hinge is embossed with "THORENS."
    The lighter is activated by a spring-loaded button that when screwed all the way in, can not ignite. Screwed out and depressed, the Single Claw mechanism that engages the file wheel when opened and ignites in one clean motion.
    It may need a good cleaning. See pictures for further condition.
    This lighter measures 2 1/4” H x 2” from screw to screw (W).
