Authentic & Genuine Cairns Leather Helmet Yonkers, NY Fire Dept. + Extras.
This is  my helmet worn by me during my Mid-career for the Yonkers, NY Fire Dept from the 1970's-1990's Until retirement in 2000.  The condition is very good considering the time and service over the years.
The most important & most desirable aspect of owning and now selling /  or buying this helmet is its history. Namely  this was the picture taken by a professional (fire buff) photographer. While being at a 3rd alarm fire , on a very cold winter day.  Now making the actual cover of  Firehouse Magazine ( Feb 1990 issue).
Included in the sale are the following.
- The helmet complete with company shield.
- A framed 5x7 color picture of the magazine photo also showing authenticating  patch, ID card and badges of rank. ( actual Badges, id card and patch Not included ) only photo.
-  Full original Firehouse magazine publication of this event Feb 1990 issue.
*Note- Helmet is in very good condition with one exception namely a small frayed spot on the interior ear protector. The original magazine cover lower picture has had a bad tape experience original color disturbed.
When you think about collecting Fire or any memorabilia having genuine documentation adds greatly to the value in selling and possessing.
