Apparently this piece was dropped at some point in it's lifetime - finial is broken, there are at least 2 internal neck cracks (cannot be felt on the exterior and can be turned to the back to hide). Finial remnant is still glued in the neck. No exterior chips. Bottom ground glass stopper has rough edges (appears to be the way it was made).

Possibly circa late 1800's.
This is the top piece to a large 3-piece stacking show globe set.
Globe itself is shy of 7". Overall length with the bottom stopper is 9". About 3-1/2" diameter at the widest.
