    Description

    A wonderful group of five (5) antique English transferware cold cream pots, all with lids, likely late nineteenth (possibly early twentieth?) century. Brands included are (1) Otto of Rose, (1) Crown Perfumery Co., (1) Jeffries, (1) CWS/Co-Operative Wholesale Company, and (1) S. Maw, Son, & Sons (whose lid is actually printed in Spanish!). All are a cream tone stoneware with black printed information on the lid top, and most are from London. Largest pot (Otto of Rose) measures approx. 1.5"h x 3.5"dia, smallest (Jeffries) measures approx. 1.25"h x 2.25"dia. Overall, these pots are in fair/poor antique condition, all displaying wear commensurate with their age/use, including crazing, areas of discoloration and surface residue, print wear/fading, cracks and chips (to both the pots and the lids), and what appears to be a repair to the base edge of the square S. Maw, Son, & Sons pot - see pictures. All boxes (with exception of the S. Maw, Son, & Sons) have impressed markings on the underside. A great instant collection!
