BIG GAME REEL
Early High Hat Style Reel
~ Unusual Drag - 3 to 1 Multiplier ~
Here's one you haven't seen before!
For your consideration:  A very nice and unusual big game
reel made by an unknown maker.  This reel would be
considered a large 12/0 with a 6 inch diameter and a
4 1/4 inch
measurement across the inside spool.
The reel is made of brass and has an odd lever style drag
just below the handle.
The reel does not have an anti-reverse
which may give
some indication of its age -

This vintage
warrior
is well built
with double crossbar pillars on the front
and the back
with a single pillar on the top.  The
large
reel foot is
attached to the two bottom pillars.
The handle has been expertly recreated.
The reel operates very smoothly and everything
functions just as it should .... smooth.
A very old and unique big game reel for
your antique
big game reel collection.
Return to the days when anglers like Zane Grey.Ernest Hemingway,
Michael Lerner and S. Kip Farrington fished with Hardy Bros.,
