Light wear to wood surface as shown. Still works great, lid catches without problem and releases when squeezed, a very nice little toy.

    Description

    Jax of Maine vintage wooden Jack-in-the-box circa the 1980, featuring a charming composer figure (perhaps Beethoven, the sheet music may give it away but I can't read the music).  Box is made with real wood and has original tag. Tag and sheet music both have some wear from being stored in the box.  Still works great, catches without problem and releases when squeezed.  Measures about 5" cubed when shut.
