    Description

    Circa 1850s APOTHECARY PHARMACY BOTTLE DRUGS LABEL UNDER GLASS 10 INCHES.
    This is an antique oversized glass Apothecary jar with matching stopper.
    It is pontiled and is in amazing condition for a bottle of it's age.
    It is clear and stands 10 inches tall (including stopper)(9 inches to top of the lip) and is 3-1/2 inches across at the base. I'm showing it with a quart sized canning jar to truly appreciate the large scale of the jar.
    It has a label under glass and is labeled with MACIS. Very nice bottle. displays well.
    The stopper does come out.
    There are no chips, cracks, bruises or any other damage to the actual bottle. There is damage to the overlay glass but it still displays well. Stopper is in very nice condition.  Additional detail cleaning suggested. See pics.
    A LITTLE INFO:
    Mace is taken by mouth for diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach spasms and pain, and intestinal gas. It is also taken by mouth for treating cancer, kidney disease, increasing menstrual flow; causing a miscarriage, and as a hallucinogen.
