Graduated from the State Industrial and Art School in I929 and from this time forward he improved his skills in such countries as Germany, Italy, Finland, and Canada. The artist emigrated to Sweden in I944. Deep and vigorous colouring is characteristic of H.Lepik’s Estonian landscapes and pictures of Sweden and Norway. Hugo Lepik also superbly painted portraits. His works were shown in Riga, Kaunas (I937), Antwerp, Rome, Budapest (I939), Stockholm (1946), Montreal (1951) and different cities of Sweden.
