Planar Wave speaker technology uses a flat treatable soundboard which gets permanently mudded/sanded/painted into your walls and provides an incredibly hifi fidelity sound while remaining completely invisible to the eye.
These speakers require a skilled drywall finisher to maintain the 3/32-7/32” of buildup that allows them to maintain their fidelity without adding EQ curves to your audio equipment.
These particular speakers were installed in an investment project which stalled out in 2020 and were removed from the site after installation but before use. They have all been tested and the speakers are free of damage and in perfect operating condition, however since they have been sealed to the construction rings (plywood base with 3-4” flanges), they will need to be mounted flush with your finished surface and then have the rings mudded and flattened to match the walls. Not difficult for a professional but for a DiY project it might be a little daunting. The good part is that the most important work of sealing the soundboard to the trim ring is already done, the trim ring to your drywall is not a point of vibration and is much easier.
