MB-D100 Battery Pack Information
The MB-D100 is an external battery pack/hand grip for the Nikon D100 digital SLR camera. It allows you to use 6 (six) LR6/AA batteries (alkaline or lithium) or two Nikon EN-EL3 batteries. It also includes:
Alternate shutter release (for taking pictures with the camera held in the vertical position)
Front command dial
AE-L/AF-L button
Microphone record button
Standard 10-pin remote terminal
With six fresh AA alkaline batteries the MB-D100 will power the camera for approximately 400 shots. A single EN-EL3 battery will last for approximately 1600 shots.
The approximate size of the unit is 145mm/5.7" wide, 70.5mm/2.8" deep and 105.5mm/4.2" high; the weight (without batteries) is 210g/7.4 oz.
