    Description
I am pleased to offer from my private collection this ONE OF A KIND antique Imperial Russian silver&24k gold lighter in form of pistol c1850's in luxury presentation box.
This unique piece comes from the family estate of the Russian Count Roman Witte(the uncle of the famous Count Sergey Witte who was the first prime minister of the Russian Empire)
This unique masterpiece is entirely hand hammered from silver (signed 84 and with the master's hallmark WI) and highly ornate with solid 24k gold inlay, hand engraved and finished.
The owner's monogram is covered with blue enamel.
The pistol lighter has a spring mechanism which hammer on to special bullet shaped capsules to make a sparkles and to light the special silk wick.
The pistol not only produce a light but also produce a tunder like real shot when when triggered. So it was a real attraction back then 150 years ago.
The spring hammer mechanism is working just fine. However to produce a sparkle and tunder sound you need the same bullet shaped capsules(you can see the used ones in the compartmet inside the handle). I really dont know from where you can find such capsules,so I really can't try it how it works. I guess they should be ordered to some armory master.
The capsule should be placed in front and covered with a cap. The spring mechanism hammer on it and produce sparkle which should light the wick which is just beneath the capsul.
The pistol is preserved in near mint original condition!
