Description

This rare
Tin Electromobile Battery Operated Toy
was made by:
MIZUNO
of
(
Japan
) in the 1950s. It is a replica of a bright red early 50’s Buick. Its original features are: Forward / Reverse / Headlights (battery operated), Steering (radiator cap - manual). It measures about 8" long. The condition of this well-made car is nice paint with few blemishes for its age and very good chrome. The front wheels can be steered by rotating the radiator cap. The Battery compartment is in great shape with no rust. It requires two (2) D Cell Batteries which are not included. The gear shift lever and the lights lever work good even though the tip of the lights lever is broken off.

I tested the car with the batteries and got the
engine to run.
However when I set it on the floor the wheels didn't engage. It appears that someone may have had the bottom removed and did not place the engine back properly. When I first tested it I had the lights working but subsequently they stopped and I could not get them to come on again. This car is a great project car for anyone that likes to tinker with and restore to have one of the most iconic toys of the time. I accept
