  • Condition: Near Mint in box. Never played with. The toy has a few very small paint chips/scratches on the back of Grandpa's head and on the back of the chair. See the photos. The toy is not working. Battery box is pristine. It is probably an easy fix for a handy person or it can be repaired at Tin Toy Works in Allentown, Pa. The very good to excellent box shows slight wear and a small stain towards the top front of the box.

    This is a tin and cloth vintage Smoking Grandpa battery-operated toy made in Japan by Marusan in the 1950s
    .  The toy is in excellent to near mint condition and it comes with a very good to excellent box. The original box shows light wear.  The toy takes two D batteries and the toy is not in working condition.   See the above condition report as well as the photos.   It will be shipped for via UPS or USPS.
