Play:3 is compatible with S1 or S2 SONOS app controller (if you prefer, you can use your music service app and control SONOS directly -e.g., Spotify)
No built-in voice control, but if desired, can be connected to Alexa via. Echo Dot (or similar device)
Can be placed horizontal (for stereo sound) or vertical (for mono sound)
Connect via. WiFi (also has Ethernet port)
Built-in rubber feet make it safe for any surface
Can be mounted to wall
Can be connected wirelessly to a second Play:3 to create a stereo pair (I have 2 to sell)
Make a great multi-room system to simultaneously play the same song or different songs/albums/podcasts in different rooms (with two or more SONOS speakers)
If configured with multiple speakers, each speaker can be independently controlled (one person playing their choice in the kitchen while another person plays their choice in a bedroom)
Can use Tune-in (or similar) to play radio stations to your SONOS
SONOS is compatible with multiple music service platforms (I have used Spotify, Tune-in, and Amazon Music)
