For sale is a pair of Unity Audio CLA3/Signature 3 audio speakers.
Description: Two-way, three-driver, sealed-box, floor standing loudspeaker. Drive-units: two 6.5" polypropylene-cone woofers, one front-firing, one rear; one 1" ceramic-coated silk-dome tweeter. Frequency response: 39Hz–20kHz, ±2dB. Sensitivity: 86dB/W/m. Nominal impedance: 5 ohms. Maximum power handling: 300W. Threaded floor spikes for speaker and stand bottom elevation are included.
Dimensions: 9.25" W by 4" D by 38" H. Weight: 30 lbs.
The overall cosmetic condition is excellent for its age. Grill covers are perfect with no rips or tears. Music: The realism these speakers convey with proper placement is remarkable. The midrange is warm, but not unnaturally so. The highs are extended, but not too forward. The mid-bass is substantial and well rounded. These speakers image well, and produce a nice wide soundstage. The name "Unity" came from a reference to a unity gain circuit, a circuit that (ideally) puts out exactly what is fed into it. The design goal was to produce loudspeakers that were as sonically transparent as possible. Developed from the PARM system technology the phase coherence , detail, efficiency and dynamic bass punch is unheard of in a compact speaker system. Great stand alone or system speakers.
