    This listings is for a genuine and original WWII German Army Sterbebild.
    Sterbebild are also known as Funeral Cards or Death Notices.
    The vast majority of Germans in World War II were Catholics.
    Like many funeral services today, a small card (usually baseball card size) were printed with a photo and brief history of the deceased.
    This custom has existed for several centuries and was very prevalent during the Second World War.
    This particular card was printed in remembrance of:
    Josef
    Klingenden
    Josef was a Corporal in the Air Force and was awarded the Marksmanship Lanyard, Iron Cross 2nd Class, Flak Badge and another badge that cannot be identified.
    He fell on June 17, 1944 at 12:30PM at the age of 26.
