OLD TIME DRUG STORE BOTTLES ETC.LARGE LOT OF 26 1880s - 1930s LOVELY GROUP
Wonderful lot, as found, 26 items.
Starting with the top row left to right, they are:
1. Clear bottle about 8 inches high, embossed front and back, front reads "Champion Concentrated Embalming Fluid, Champion Chemical Co. Springfield, Ohio. No cracks, no chips, early 1900s.
2. Apothecary bottle about 7.5" with original ground glass stopper with original contents, no cracks or chips, stopper is frozen. Applied lip. 1890s.
3. Early larger size Bromo Seltzer, cobalt blue, embossed bottle about 6.5", Emerson Drug Co. Baltimore.
4. Large golden amber bottle, applied lip, about 7 3/4". Embossed "Urodonal" on the front and "Etach" on both sides. Perfect bottle, probably late 1890s.
5. Aqua "blob top" Embossed "Eagle Bottling Works" and "Tacoma Washington" along with embossed eagle and trade mark. About 6.5" Probably 1890s Nice heavy bottle, no cracks, however noted is a very shallow flake or chip to the applied lip.
6. Heavy "blob top" Embossed "Jos P. Bickar Steubenville, Ohio" and embossed "J.P.B" on the bottom. No cracks or chips. Probably 1890s.
7. Apothecary bottle "Oleum Cajuput". Original ground glass stopper (stuck) with partial original contents. Some loss to the left and right of the label, no cracks or chips, 1890s.
8. Pharmacy bottle about 7 3/4" Circa teens or 1920s with partial label, no cracks or chips.
Bottom row left to right:
9. Small amber bottle, applied lip. Full label,"Ox Call U.S.P." Early Parke Davis, early 20th century. No cracks or chips.
10. Another similar to the above, partial label, probably 1920s.
11. Clear bottle with flat applied lip and full label, "Solution Iron Peptonate with Magnesium and Arsenic" Probably late 1890s. No cracks or chips.
12. Tiny dark amber bottle indistinct darkened label, with cork, early 20th century.
13. Round red cardboard tube "Jodspril", nice, contains a perfect tiny six sided paneled bottle with full pink label and cap. Early 20th century.
14.Small aqua tall thin bottle applied lip, embossed "Sample bottle" and embossed "Dr. Kilmer's swamp root kidney remedy" Perfect. Later 19th century.
15. Box "F.A. Stuart calcium water compound" with all contents: wooden bottle with top and original contents, as well as original printed instructions, circa 1916.
16. "Dewitt's worm candy" box, and contents, including glass vial with complete tablets, as well as printed instructions, probably 1920s or earlier.
17. "Calomel" bottle with full label, 1920s or 30s. No cracks or chips.
18. "Doan's Diuretics to kidneys", complete metal tube, no contents. Early 20th century.
19. Merck Saccharin Soluble Box with contents. Probably 1930s. No cracks or chips
20. Small embossed bottle "Balliett's Acme Flux and Anti Oxidizer" and "Waterloo Iowa"
Very nice, no cracks or chips, about 1900 or earlier.
21. " Penslar Papaya Digestant tablets" partial label, with original contents, perhaps 1930s. No cracks or chips
22. "Lactopeptine" full label, probably circa 1910 or teens. No cracks or chips.
23. "J. Bosisto Richmond" Embossed aqua medicine, no cracks or chips 1880s or 90s.
24. Small amber corked bottle, faded full label, "40" embossed on the bottom. Early 1900s.
25. and 26. Two Parke Davis bottles with full labels. Corked, earlier 20th century, possibly 20s or 30s.
